We invite you to the Methow At Home community!
As a member, Methow At Home can offer you hands-on, everyday helpful services supported by staff and our amazing volunteer team along with a variety of social, creative, and educational programming.
Community is KEY
We believe that aging in place is not just a personal choice—it’s a community commitment. Loneliness and isolation in older adults can lead to significant health impacts and decrease quality of life. Methow At Home addresses this through our services and programs, but we go beyond by building a robust community rooted in joy, connection and dignity!

Get To Know Our
Services & Programs
We offer older adults a wide variety of by donation events each month as well as the opportunity to request free transportation and household help. Our programming is designed to meet people where they are and is always evolving to fit the needs of our community.
Help Around the House
Some tasks become harder as we age, but our community steps up to get the job done. Our volunteers can help with things like changing lightbulbs, shoveling snow, yardwork, home maintenance, walking pets and cleaning projects. As a member you can submit requests through our online portal and a volunteer will contact you to arrange a time to come by - it’s that simple! This service is free for our members.
Transportation
Our remote location and rural setting can limit transportation options for older adults. If you need a ride somewhere our friendly volunteers are ready to get you to and from wherever you need to go for free.
Educational Programs
Our enriching, donation-based programs offer the chance to explore new hobbies, learn new things and connect with others. You can go bird watching with experts, learn about ecology from naturalists, take a cooking class, learn CPR and more with our educational program options!
Strength & Balance
Accidental falls are one of the biggest reasons that older adults must leave their homes as they age. We offer a variety of strength and balance classes to suit your needs and help you stay vertical.
Preparedness & Planning
Our advanced care and estate planning seminars support the transitions of aging so that older adults & their families can make decisions from a place of knowledge and choice, not crisis.
Dementia Arts Program
Our Creative Aging program allows for people living with dementia to express themselves through art projects, while their caregivers take a break from caregiving in a nearby room. This enriching experience holds tremendous potential for reducing isolation, increasing cognitive, social, and creative engagement while improving overall quality of life.
Social Clubs
Our members have the interest and passion, we provide the organization and coordination! Our social clubs include a men’s gathering at a local pub, sewing circle, Spanish conversation group, sports & games groups and a monthly lunch outing. These events are great ways to connect with others, pursue interests and learn something new!
The Lookout Coalition
This program offers a personal approach during difficult health challenges. Anyone in the Methow Valley (not just Methow At Home members) can receive help from the Lookout Coalition. Our volunteers have diverse clinical experience and will come to your home to offer guidance, support and help connect people with resources to navigate health issues, including end of life support — Learn More.
Inclusive Community
Methow At Home recognizes that feeling supported through the transitions of aging requires more than programs to decrease loneliness and isolation. Cultivating an authentic, inclusive and vibrant community is the heart of what we do.
